777 Diet

It’s the middle of summer; you’ve been putting your body through cruel and unusual punishment at the gym to look remotely decent for the endless bbq’s, pool parties and scantily clad weather. Yet you still can’t shed those last few vanity pounds. Thankfully you lards have me, king of overnight skinny!

Like you I have a desert weakness which is the kryptonite to my bikini ready body. Summer isn’t the time for indulgence it’s all about deprivation, sweat and skin. If you’re hungry then wait till November.

Because I know you slackers look for any excuse to not lose weight today (being Monday and the start of a new week) is the perfect day to reboot your gut. Just follow my 7 tips for losing 7 pounds in 7 days.

The 777 diet!

Note: This is a diet not a weight-loss program. If you’re beyond bad built I CAN NOT help you. This is clearly a maintenance program for those who have been actually using their gym membership this summer.

Day 1) Stay away from sugar.
Instead of your usual delusional healthy grapefruit for breakfast (which is very rich in sugar), Protein bars (also known as nasty candy bars) or sugar/carb laden doughnuts, a better choice is a serving of a whole grain bar or cereal. Both are packed with complex carbs that fill you up and prevent a rapid return of hunger.

Day 2) Minimize your dairy intake
Dairy products contain many nutrients, but they’re also high in fat and salt. Switch to fat-free alternatives that will substantially lower your salt and fat intake. Symptoms such as anxiety, bloating and stress will decrease within weeks of cutting out dairy from your diet. Due to a dairy free diet these feelings are replaced with better sleeping patterns and increased energy levels. Weight which was difficult to shed just falls away with no effort at all. On top of this sodium levels in the bloodstream reduces as do cholesterol and in many cases, blood returns to normal pressure.

Day 3) Select your food smartly.
To cut down on calories when eating lunch or even that dreaded fast-food purchase skip the condiments also, while sushi on the menu may be a healthy choice, not all sushi will promote weight loss because sushi contains rice. Avoid liquid calories by cutting drinks—juice, lemonade, and, hardest of all, after-work wine. Sip on low-calorie 100% fruit juice, or water instead of soft drinks, energy drinks, flavored coffees, and martinis. Cutting calories with substitutions can be a lot easier than you might think. For example, a tall latte in the morning may pack 500 calories. Since a pound of body fat (lost or gained) is roughly equivalent to 3,500 calories, replacing that rich beverage with green tea & honey can help you lose a pound per week. If you eat salad frequently, try substituting olive oil/vinegar/lemon juice for your ranch or blue cheese dressing. Similarly, cook with olive oil instead of butter, if you must have dairy opt for skim milk instead of whole.

Day 4) Juice Detox Diet, Juice Fast or Hollywood Diet.
The juices are meant to help your body flush out toxins and eliminate several pounds of (mostly) water weight from your system. The best thing about a juice detoxification fast, they generally last for one to three days. You can only drink fruit and vegetable juices for 72 hours. Some variations of this diet involve taking vitamins or nutrients along with the juices, while others let you have a single meal (a healthy one) per day.

Day 5) Plan your meals in advance.
This can help you incorporate more nutritious foods into your diet and limit your calorie intake. As well as, help Identify your food triggers and plan accordingly. Careful planning can help you avoid trigger foods and empty calorie traps. If you don’t purchase these foods or if you plan meals in advance, you will be less likely to sabotage your diet when pressed for time.

Day 6) Sleep.
Know how much sleep you need, since sleep deficiency impairs your ability to lose fat. Being properly rested will help you maintain sufficient energy throughout the day, making you less likely to overeat. Rest at least 24 to 48 hours between strength training sessions on the same muscle group (for instance, workout your biceps and abs on alternating days), and take one to two days off from exercising each week.

Day 7) Sweat.
Make exercise enjoyable. Choosing physical activities that you like to do will make you much luckier to succeed at maintaining your exercise regimen. Such as, swimming, jogging, rock climbing and/or cycling. Fat-burning cardio routines can help you lose fat quickly, while weight and resistance training can trigger your metabolism to use energy more efficiently. The most effective fat-burning routines contain short bursts of high-intensity workouts with interspersed periods of rest. Weight training can also tone flabby “trouble” spots, giving the appearance of weight loss by simply tightening and slimming your body.

When all else fail, fill up on water.
Drink 12 glasses of water daily Add flavor to your drink. Drinking twelve glasses daily may become wearisome. If this is the case with you, add one tablespoon of cranberry juice to your glass of water. It will stimulate the urinary system and help you flush fluids more quickly.

You look great, man! You’re going to add to your stalkers with this picture. Very good article. If people would drink more water, they would lose significant weight, live longer, improve their skin, and experience many other rewarding health benefits. You included great tips and guidance in this piece.
